AwFuL, Jr Proctions has been in existance unofficially since the mid to late 1980's. It all began with a Tandy TRS-80 Model III computer. That was a one-piece system; the monitor, keyboard, and two 5.25" (yes, 5.25" and two of them) floppy drives were all one large, heavy piece of machine. The language was Basic. No, not Visual Basic . . . not even QBasic! The wonderful language of spaghetti code: line numbers, GOTO statements, GOSUB statements, and the whole lot.
So, what's in a name? It was something that I came up with as that pre-teen boy, copying and editing those programs I could find in some old computer magazines. After a bit, I began creating some basic ones of my own. I thought that it would be cool to come up with a "company name." My inititals AFL, the fact that I am a junior, and the fact that I thought my programs were crap and . . . BANG . . . AwFuL, Jr. Productions was created. So, a silly name (probably not the best for marketing) is kept? Why not?!?!?!?
Since then, I have learned several more (and better) programming languages:
I have recently created a group on Yahoo! for AwFuL, Jr. Productions. Feel free to join and contribute.
