BROADWAY COMPANY MEMBER KEVIN KERN TAKES OVER THE ROLE OF MARIUS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 9th!

AFTER 5 YEARS, TENTH ANNIVERSARY MARIUS PETER LOCKYER TO PLAY FINAL PERFORMANCE ON SEPTEMBER 7th!

Long-time Broadway Company member and Marius cover KEVIN KERN takes over the role of Marius on Monday, September 9th. Kern has played Jean Prouvaire and understudied Marius on and off since 1997.

Kevin made his Broadway debut in Les Miz and returns after appearing in the tryout of the new musical People Like Us. He was also featured in Signature Theatre’s production of The Rhythm Club.

He is married to former Broadway Eponine MEGAN LAWRENCE, who herself is getting ready to take over the role of Little Sally in the Broadway production of Urinetown.

PETER LOCKYER made his Broadway debut as Babet in 1996 understudying Marius (including during RICKY MARTIN's run), and was promoted to the role for the Tenth Anniversary Broadway Company in 1997. He has been Broadway's Marius the entire time, excepting this past summer when he was chosen by CAMERON MACKINTOSH to play the role in the Shanghai Premiere.

Peter's final performance with the Broadway Company will be Saturday, September 7th, after which he'll begin rehearsals for Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme.
