James and I (Charles) were supposed to go singing in Scotland and England with the Music Society this June. Not enough people signed up, so the Music Society cancelled that opportunity. We decided to go anyway. Spent some time on the web, found a nice tour offered by Prestige Tours Ltd, and off we went.
| We got a much better deal from Air Canada than any US airline would
offer us, so we drove across the Blue Water Bridge and pulled into the
airport parking lot.
Yes, that's it - room for 72 cars, but the monthly rate was only $30 (Canadian), so not a bad deal, if a bit small. |

I knew the plane was going to be small, when they assigned me seats
2A,B, I asked if B was an aisle or a middle seat and they told me that
both A and B were window seats. Well, in reality, they also were
both aisle seats as well.
However, in spite of the size, the flight was smooth and comfortable (if a bit noisy). |
| Toronto was actually easy to get through since we arrived in Terminal 1 and left from their as well. They don't have much in the way of amenities inside the secured area, so some searching for necessary rooms, book stalls etc., but such is life. We shortly left on a somewhat larger plan (very comfortable) and a dinner, movie and breakfast later we were in London's Heathrow Terminal 3. Follow on with the links below. | ![]() |
