Goto Sept 10, 1941 letter

Saturday morning

[September 6, 1941]

Dear Mavis

Another busy day and here I am writing a letter. It has rained here most of the week so there has been very little work done have only picked cotton two days, have ginned 56 bales. I sure hope it stops all of this raining.

I finally made the trip to Vicksburg Thursday afternoon. I got two suits, a blue suit and a grey one. Ray got a blue just like the one I got so we will be dressed alike. Louis met us there and we carried her back to Port Gibson that night. I got home at 2:30 o'clock in the morning.

Can you imagine just 3 more weeks? I hardly believe it is so near. I am getting anxious to see you again so it cannot get here any to soon to suit me. I imagine you are very busy planning and getting everything ready. If you will send me the amount of money it will take I will send you a check unless you think we can make all the arrangements after we get there Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Love

Ruel
