Sunday morning

[May 23, 1943 - jlt]

Dear Mavis,

Just a short note to say "Good morning" to you. I wonder how you are feeling this morning? It has been four days since you were operated on, and I haven't heard a word. I am "dam" mad about it. I wonder if the people up there think I am interested in you. I know you were not able to write Thursday, but someone could have sent me some news of how you are.

We had a shower last night and everything is beautiful this morning. It is still cloudy and may rain some more.

I am going after the paper and will mail this "Snote" as Mary Emma calls them.

Wonder how little Johnnie is doing without his Mama? What would I give to see him this minute.

Love,

Ruel
