Dear Ruel
Here I am at home again. The doctor took my stitches out yesterday at noon and told me not to come home. I had to ride in an ambulance and will have to stay in bed until Wednesday. After Wednesday I can start sitting up and then gradually walk around. About next Sunday I can be up all the time. Dulcie was much better yesterday and I hope she will get home about Wednesday.
Find out if you can come up here and let me know. I want to make reservations on the train if you can't. The doctor said I could travel in about two weeks. I'm anxious to see you and get Johnnie back home. They are taking excellent care of him here, but he is getting mighty spoiled. If you are going to teach him to swim he will probably be spoiled at home too.
I'm writing this short letter for them to mail when they go see Dulcie this morning. I'm feeling fine. Muriel's trying to rock Johnnie to sleep but he is cutting up and having a big time. Its good to be home.
Love, Mavis
